For this sermon at my local church, I shared a message based on the life of Joseph and the reminder that life can change quickly. I connected Joseph’s sudden journey from being favored at home to being sold into Egypt with my own experience of being in Ukraine when the war began.

The message focused on trusting God in uncertain times, using our time wisely, and staying spiritually awake instead of becoming distracted by the world around us. As the new year approached, I challenged the congregation to reflect on what may be putting them “to sleep” spiritually and to make Jesus the center of their lives.
