Sharing about the Cuba Mission Experience
After serving in Cuba on a mission trip, I was able to share my experience with others through a presentation that reflected on the work, people, and lessons from the trip. I spoke about serving alongside GLAA students through construction work, including helping with foundation work, mixing concrete, and laying block for church building projects. More than simply describing the tasks, I wanted to communicate the purpose behind the work and how service can make a meaningful impact.
Photography also became an important part of how I shared the experience. I documented students serving, local communities, street scenes, antique cars, architecture, and everyday moments throughout Cuba. These images helped me tell the story visually and gave others a clearer picture of what we experienced. Sharing this trip helped me grow not only in service, but also in public speaking, reflection, and storytelling through media.
